Dr. Allan Peljovich Volunteers With Equestrian Connection
Fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon Allan E. Peljovich, M.D., M.P.H., his wife, and Practice Administrator Debra Simmons recently volunteered with Equestrian Connection, an organization that offers children with shared birth differences opportunities to interact with and learn how to care for, handle, and ride horses.
The event took place the first weekend of October and was sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and their Limb Deficiency Program. This event gave children with different forms of congenital upper limb amputation and symbrachydactyly a chance to enjoy horse-related therapies as well as for them and their families to meet others with shared birth differences.
