Shoulder Doctor
Our fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic shoulder surgeon is known throughout Georgia and the Southeast for his specialized knowledge and training to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of shoulder injuries and conditions in patients of all ages.
The ball-and-socket joint, or the shoulder, is supported by a collection of muscles and tendons. However, where the upper arm bone, or humerus, fits into the shoulder blade, or scapula, is rather loose and can make the shoulder joint vulnerable to injury. Overuse, or injuries that are the result of activities that require repetitive movements, and acute injuries, such as rotator cuff tears, are common causes of shoulder pain.
At The Hand & Upper Extremity Center of Georgia, our focus, experience, and training give us the expertise and skill to provide exceptional medical care for nearly every shoulder injury or condition for adults as well as children. From a simple injury to a complex condition, we can assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for several injuries and conditions of the shoulder including the following common shoulder injuries and conditions.
